Mobile phones have become a major enabler for governments to provide quality health services to the population. One such tool is FamilyConnect, used by the Ministry of Health in Uganda to improve the uptake of reproductive and child health services in public health facilities.
Developed in collaboration with UNICEF and the Johnson & Johnson Center for Health Worker Innovation, with funding from Johnson & Johnson Foundation, FamilyConnect is helping to extend the reach and productivity of frontline health workers like nurse Judith Chandiru, resulting in healthier outcomes for mothers, babies and families.
